A brief history of Sally Walker Catering

Sally Walker Catering has supplied many businesses and organisations throughout the South West. We have successfully won tenders to prestigious university departments providing delivered catering within tight guidelines and deadlines.

Every function is a challenge and given great attention to detail. Regular clients are extremely important and we have been catering for the directors at The Bristol Port Company for over 15 years. We also deliver catering to GKS, Deloitte, National Composites Centre, Barclays, Arco and the CREATE centre.

We have had many interesting challenges and varied briefs over the last 30 years, from canapes at the Arnolfini to welcome Paul McCartney, to a wedding at the National Trust’s Dyrham Park. One of the most challenging briefs was for the ‘The Festival of the Sea’ where we had to trundle our very delicate canapes on a trolley over the cobbled streets of Bristol docks, to the event space on the bottom deck of the Matthew after negotiating the ship’s steep ladders. We could see why our client suggested we bring young and agile staff!

Between 2003 and 2014 Sally Walker owned the beautiful Bristol Conference Centre, which helped us to create some interesting menus to suit the many different palates of the delegates.

In 2014 the company moved to their new premises on West Street in Bedminster where it created a specialised kitchen for delivered catering.

We are proudly independent and this allows us to make decisions that meet our ethos and high standards. Below is how we have met our environmental policy.
